Selflessness, putting everyone else's needs and wants before our own, has been the primary behaviour modelled for most women.

Taking proper care of ourselves, saying no, and asserting our boundaries while listening to our innate feminine wisdom isn’t something we learned when we were young. In fact, it’s been discouraged — and we’ve carried this patriarchal self-sacrificing way of being into our adult lives becoming all we know.

Here’s why that wreaks havoc on your health:

 

The body keeps score. Sooner or later, it will remind you that this pattern of self-neglect isn't working.

Most of us walk around unconsciously all the time and have been conditioned to tune-out our inherent body wisdom in exchange for someone else's opinion. We’ve been conditioned to give our power away in an effort to try to fix things. So we reach for quick fixes — a fad diet, pharmaceutical, or health trend. These shiny solutions get our hopes up but often leave us right back where we started, feeling lost and hopeless.

5 Reasons Women Don’t Follow Through on Their Wellness Goals

1. GIVING HER BUSY STORY ALL THE GLORY

Women lead lives packed with the priorities of others — work, family, and social circles. It’s acceptable to be a people-pleaser. We link it to achievement, success, and our purpose. It’s the go-to excuse to avoid diverting our time from others and focusing on ourselves. We’ve come to believe that others’ needs are more important than our own.

2. CHASING THE QUICK-FIX TRANSFORMATION

A downfall of living in a society built on convenience is the expectation of instant gratification. No matter our intelligence level or past experiences, we can easily be swept away by the mythical promise that our solution is just around the corner. Marketing leans into this heavily, especially in the trillion-dollar health and wellness industry. If we don't wake up, we’ll keep chasing the quick-fix.

3. PUTTING HERSELF FIRST MAKES HER SELFISH

Selfishness is the exclusive concern for oneself — which is important, and something you’re worthy of. If you extend the definition (and your selfish act) to disregard others’ well-being, you’re heading into murky water. What we don’t hear enough is that you can boundary this in a healthy, productive, and nourishing way for yourself and others.

Many women don’t trust their intuition to support their health. Experiences with medical professionals rarely tap into the power of the feminine. When women bring spiritual guidance or intuition into the dynamic, they find themselves silenced or ridiculed.

I’m Maryska and I help women go from being burnt out, struggling with illness, putting their needs last to being deeply connected and caring for themselves, tending to their greater healing and purpose.

  • We’ll kick off our journey together with a LIVE 90-minute Zoom call where we’ll dive straight into The Art of Living principles and how you can begin applying them to your life from day 1!

  • Then we’ll continue with a 1-hour LIVE group call each week as we move through The Art of Living Blueprint.

  • You’ll get soul-led ‘homework’ each week, as well as special resources, to help you implement the teachings and recommendations and apply these principles to your unique situation.
  • We move at a purposeful pace so you can focus on areas where you need the most support and desire the greatest change. If you often find yourself in overwhelm, you’re going to love my approach.

WEEK 1

Tuning In

Healing begins when we understand that illness is an invitation to a bigger journey of personal transformation. In this first week you’ll learn to listen to your body’s voice and how it’s speaking to you through symptoms. You’ll discover a whole new way of viewing your health and a new mode of healing. You’ll see your body as part of a revolutionary holistic healing paradigm.

 

WEEK 2

Coming Back to You

This week you’ll learn how you’ve become disconnected from your power and intuition. We’ll be diving deep into the concepts of the Sacred Feminine, reconnecting with ourselves and discovering the conditioning that has kept women in a cycle of people pleasing, self-lessness and disconnection from our inner wisdom and power. You’ll discover the power of choosing authenticity over attachment and get tools to help you come back to yourself.

WEEK 3

Identifying Obstacles

You’ll discover the intimate connection between your beliefs and biology and uncover the patterns and conditioning that got you here in the first place. This week you’ll discover how your thoughts are an important part of your body’s wisdom and how intimately linked they are to your biology as well as become aware of other obstacles that have been standing in your way of claiming vibrant health.

 

WEEK 4

Reclaim Your Power

This week we’ll be talking all about power and how you are more powerful than you ever thought possible! You’ll learn the 3 Keys of Self Empowerment and how to apply them to your life in order to reclaim ownership of your health and your life, and start to implement the changes you desire in an empowered way. You’ll also discover your inner power centres (it's okay if you don't yet know what this is, just know that it's impactful) and how to identify and address where you are losing power in your life and how to reclaim it.

WEEK 5

The Medicine is Inside You

This week you’ll take everything you’ve learned and begin forming your plan. Having reconnected with your intuition and identified the obstacles, you’ll unlock a collection of powerful tools and resources. You’ll have everything you need to create your wellness plan using your own inner wisdom as the guide. This is where other programs miss the mark. You’re the owner of your health and know yourself best. When you create your plan, you’ll be more likely to stick to it and make it work in your life. I’ll be there right beside you to help when you need it.

Week 6

Reflection and Celebration

This week is the culmination of your journey and will be all about reflecting on what you’ve learnt throughout the course solidifying the concepts and tools that you’ve learnt along the way to ensure your continued success. The purpose of this course is to help you reclaim your sovereignty and reconnect with yourself so that you feel empowered to create lasting change in your life. This final week we will be celebrating how far you’ve come and ensure you have what you need to continue your progress.
